The Bureau of Customs (BOC)-Port of Davao led the coordination meeting with the Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. (DCCCII), where matters on trade facilitation to promote investment opportunities in Davao Region were discussed. The meeting was held at BOC Davao's conference room on September 6, 2022.
BOC Davao, District Collector Atty. Erastus Sandino B. Austria discussed the Port's accomplishments and initiatives. He also shared the coordination meeting with Davao City Investment Promotion Center (DCIPC) where basic customs information and knowledge were provided via QR Codes to help the said Office educate investors about the customs clearance procedure.
DCCCII also shared their biggest and longest-running trade expo in Mindanao, the Davao Agri-Trade Expo (DATE), which is geared towards accelerating agricultural development of the Philippines’ Food basket. BOC Davao will closely coordinate with DCCCII in promoting trade and investments in the city through collaborative activities.
BOC Davao through the supervision of District Collector Atty. Austria under the leadership of Commissioner Yogi Filemon L. Ruiz will continue to collaborate with other agencies that focus on trade facilitation which can help boost the economic development in the Davao Region and ultimately improve revenue collection performance.
